Tourist Fee in Mauritius

Information for Guests

Since 1 October 2025, Mauritius applies a tourist fee of €3 per eligible guest, per night, for tourists aged 12 years and above staying in tourist accommodation.

This government fee applies to eligible stays at Elysée Vacances and is collected by the accommodation provider for payment to the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA).

Who Is Exempt?

The fee does not apply to:

• Children under 12 years of age.

• Residents of Mauritius.

• Mauritians living abroad who hold a Mauritian passport.

• Holders of a valid Premium Visa.

• Holders of a valid Residence Permit.

• Tourists staying free of charge.

How Is It Calculated?

€3 × number of eligible guests × number of nights

For example, two eligible adults staying for five nights would pay a total tourist fee of €30.
